Hiring Range: $235,745.00 to $353,617.00 USD
Summary of Position
The Vice President, Information Technology Services is responsible for directing and managing the department to install, secure, operate, and maintain the technology hardware, software, and services in support of Tower Federal Credit Union (TFCU) goals and objectives. The department provides TFCU
with technical and operational support of various information technology services, including: datacenter operations, helpdesk, desktop services, identity and access management, voice, video and data systems, enterprise software management, architecture, and backups/business continuity. This position actively participates on the IT Steering Committee, Information Security Governance Committee, Technology Advisory Group, and other operational and strategic planning meetings of the credit union, including preparing and presenting recommendations to same. This position is responsible for specific functional, legal/regulatory and compliance needs of the Information Technology Services department, as outlined and maintained on the company intranet, and as defined
in department level procedures. Principal Accountabilities and Functions Directs the ongoing operations of the Information Technology Services Department to provide support services to meet the organization’s information technology needs. Accepts responsibility for TFCU’s information technology and controls to ensure the secure operations of computer systems, applications, servers, and network connections in accordance with approved and published Information Security standards and procedures, as well as industry best practices. Develops and maintains a trained, engaged, and motivated professional staff focused on providing quality information technology services to support TFCU operations. Departmental teams include: Service Management, End User Technology (helpdesk, IAM, and desktop services), Enterprise Systems (including datacenter management), Network and Collaboration Services,
and Architecture & Innovation. Contributes to the growth of TFCU by providing research and planning for information technology services (hardware, software and professional services) to meet organizational goals and objectives. Responsible for developing and recommending improvements to information technology services and reporting. The position ensures the accurate preparation of monthly department reports and prepares the
department's annual budget. The position recommends and updates policy and procedures to assure Vice President, Information Technology Services
regulatory compliance and ease of operation in the department and communicates any changes which may affect other TFCU departments.
The position is responsible for assuring the education and training of TFCU staff with regard to information security and in the use of TFCU hardware, software, and systems.
The position is responsible for the selection of the department's personnel and is responsible for directing, training, motivating and evaluating the department staff. The position has daily contact with subordinates to resolve questions or to interpret systems analysis (hardware and software) and programming modifications on an emergency basis. The position serves on the TFCU Technology Advisory Group, providing professional and technical
expertise relating to the detailed analysis of new systems and technologies. Serves as the Disaster Recovery leader for TFCU. In the event of a disaster, the position implements and directs the Information Technology Services portion of the TFCU Disaster Recovery Plan. Prepares and makes presentations to the President/CEO, the Board of Directors and other senior staff as requested. Where applicable, accepts responsibility for specific legal and/or regulatory compliance activities. This responsibility may include, but not be limited to, a range of actions (e.g., compliance monitoring and reporting, developing materials and communications, serving as liaison to external authorities, providing education to employees, conducting audits, participating in training updates, etc.) determined by the position level or delegated authority from Senior Management or the Board of Directors.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or a related field, with 7-10 years of
relevant work experience.
Or equivalent combination of technical training, certifications, and experience may be substituted.
Deep knowledge of information security, risk management, storage area networks (SAN), electronic
document management systems (e.g. Nautilus), credit union core processing systems, general
LAN/WAN design and protocols, cloud technologies and concepts, virtualization, and Microsoft and
Linux server platforms.

Have knowledge of and adherence to typical credit union policies and procedures and all regulations
related to the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC
Ability to maintain the security requirements set forth by Tower across all software, networks, devices,
and systems
Has knowledge of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures and all regulations related to the
Bank Secrecy Act, the USA Patriot Act and OFAC.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work a Hybrid Schedule - this is not a remote position
Ability to work the hours needed which may extend beyond the defined work schedule when operating
conditions dictate.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., with or without assistance, in compliance with ADA.
