Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (Per Diem) - Outpatient Orthopedics

 

Schedule: PRN, weekdays (Mon-Fri)

Location: NovaCare in Laurel, MD

Compensation: $29.00 - $36.00 /hour

 

 

 

NovaCare in Laurel, Maryland, is seeking per diem/ PRN Physical Therapist Assistants to help our outpatient orthopedic population achieve their recovery goals. You must be licensed in MD to start. We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you. New graduates are welcome to apply.

 

This role is perfect for a licensed PTA with outpatient experience who values work-life balance. Our large team treats a diverse OP population, treating ortho, sports, and industrial diagnoses.

 

 

We have several outpatient locations throughout PG County available for full-time, steady part-time, or as-needed/per diem coverage. 

 

 

 

Center Hours: 7 AM to 7 PM, with the last patient scheduled an hour before. We close at 3:30 P.M. on Fridays. No weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
