Electrician

Job Summary:

The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, proactive/preventive maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Installs electrical equipment such as circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
• Repairs, tests, and maintains electrical equipment, machinery, and systems such as generators, motors, and lighting systems.
• Performs inspection rounds of electrical equipment and maintains records and schedules of tasks and inspections.
• Performs general maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility.
• Organizes all work assigned and completes accurately and on-time all work tickets and required paperwork.
• Support electrical requirements of HVAC and other trades as .
• Keeps electrical spaces clean, leaves work sites in better condition than when arrived
• Fully documents work order steps, enters log notes, and conditions, and makes recommendations for improved maintenance
• Reviews PM work activities and suggests changes to improve the operation or reliability of the equipment.
• Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good condition; plans and organizes assignments effectively.
• Presents a professional, positive, and helpful attitude at all times when interacting with customers, co-workers, and supervision.
• Maintains effective communication with management, employees, and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain base access.
• Submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Not be color-blind.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of recent experience within the past five years in electrical trades.

Preferred:

• Electrical Journeyman's License.
• Prior experience working on government contracts.
• OSHA 10.
